Usable right in the barn, it enables rapid detection of rotaviruses and Clostridium perfringens (alpha toxin) with minimal testing effort. This allows infections to be detected early and countermeasures to be taken immediately—for healthy animals and minimal losses.

Pathogens Causing Diarrhea in Young Animals

Rotaviruses and Clostridium perfringens alpha toxins are major pathogens causing enteric diseases in young animals and can lead to severe diarrhea. Due to their high environmental resistance, they persist in the environment for long periods, making their elimination difficult and regular monitoring essential.

Early diagnosis is therefore crucial for implementing targeted measures to contain the infection, reduce the disease burden, and prevent further spread within the herd.
