Pregnancy in cattle lasts about 280 days, with implantation of the embryo occurring in the first few weeks. Early pregnancy diagnosis allows for targeted adjustments to feeding, care, and re-insemination, while avoiding unnecessary inseminations and the feeding of non-pregnant animals.
